How do I roll CAR PARTS categories?

Stand at the CAR PARTS machine at base. Q selects category, confirm, E rolls. Select Category lets you target Blocks vs Engines vs Wheels vs Fuels instead of a fully random bag — use it when you are missing one slot of a working car.

Build and Kill Zombies parts do not roll on the road. Return with F or empty fuel. Cash is spent at the machine; exact roll prices per rarity are TBA besides the two named Uncommon examples.

SUPPORTS is next door

Weapons are not a fifth CAR PARTS category. Walk to SUPPORTS for mounts. Mixing the two machines is why beginners think “parts” includes shredders — they do, but on the other roller.

Each CAR PARTS category does a different job on the chassis. That split is next.

How do Blocks, Engines, Wheels, and Fuels differ?

Blocks are the chassis body you bolt other pieces onto. Engines are why the car moves. Wheels are why it sits and steers. Fuels are why a run lasts long enough to pay Cash. Recaps: engines and fuels need to be paired — a strong engine on an empty tank is still a short drive.

Early Cash should not all go into a second engine while wheels are missing. A Build and Kill Zombies parts mistake that looks like “bad luck” is usually an unbalanced chassis: Mythic curiosity on SUPPORTS, Common wheels, no tank. Select Category exists so you can stop that. COMMUNITY’s small engine and small tank are the documented skip for the two most painful empty slots.

Build tabs

In Build, these four live under the VEHICLE tab. WEAPONS tab is SUPPORTS pieces. Place engine, wheels, and fuel before you art-direct blocks.

Rarity is how the Index sorts power. Names and dollar examples are sparse — two rows we can stand behind come after rarity.

How does rarity work in the Index?

Six labels: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic. Recaps: higher rarity is stronger. This wiki will not invent drop rates, DPS, or “Mythic = 10x Common.” Open Index in-game for stats this page cannot publish.

Luck I/II exist to push rolls up that ladder. They do not add a seventh rarity.

Index vs this page

If Index shows a part name we do not list, trust Index. Stage 3 will not scrape forty icons. Entity art is skipped this run — tables stay text.

Two Uncommon prices are the only dollar figures in the source recaps.

Which Build and Kill Zombies parts have verified names and prices?

Glass Cylinder: Uncommon, $15. Shredder: Uncommon, $250. Both are named in the weapons/supports conversation as well; they still illustrate that Uncommon is not free and that price gaps are large. Do not assume every Uncommon is $15.

Dedicated Glass Cylinder and Crossbow stations appear in recaps. Use them when you see them. Crossbow stats stay TBA.

The decision table next is what to roll when the chassis is incomplete.

What should I roll next for a working chassis?

This is the mid-page executable. It is not the glance category list restated — it is a missing-slot picker.

After a moving car

Hang SUPPORTS, then bias Fast Furious vs Blue Monster. Parts page stops at “it drives.”

Build and Kill Zombies parts also include “do not roll”: if Luck I is sitting unbought and you are spamming a category you already filled, stop. Cash into Luck, then roll the empty slot. Dedicated stations (Glass Cylinder, Crossbow) are still one-part answers — they do not fill wheels. Select Category on CAR PARTS when the Index shows you already own ten Commons of the wrong type.

If COMMUNITY already granted a small engine and tank, skip extra Engine rolls. Fill Wheels, then Blocks if the pad is tiny, then SUPPORTS for one front mount. Progress is “does it drive,” not “did I hit Mythic.” Mythic is a rarity label, not hour-one homework.

What next

Next: mount SUPPORTS on the front — weapons — then lock a car build bias. Luck order: skills.
